In order that the main site can be loaded speedily by all users of the web, illustrations are not used in the main pages (I personally find this obsession with the use of excessive graphics a positive deterrent from using the web). However, there are a large number of pictures which can be accessed using either links on the description pages found at http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk or from the list below.
A Gallery of pictures arranged by denomination can be accessed via the Picture Gallery Index. Some of these have a good number of images and may be slow to load.
This list was fairly complete as at 26/2/2007. However, further additions may have been made since then. A full list can only be found by browsing the Gallery.
I have acknowledged the source of the images in some cases, in brackets after the coin title. Those marked (*), and almost all decimal issues, are from my own collection. Copyright of all images remains vested in the donors or Tony Clayton. Higher definition images of many of the coins are available on request.
All images of the Decimal series were created by Tony Clayton, except where indicated.
This list was fairly complete as at 9th March 2007. However, many further additions have been made since then. A full list can be found by browsing the The Picture Gallery Index.
I am most grateful to those who have kindly allowed me to use their images, in particular Martin Platt, Peter Day, Sylvester, Roy Betts, Spink of London, and Jean Elsen & ses fils of Brussels.

I would be grateful if you could search the site carefully before mailing me - the answers to the great majority of the questions that I am asked can be found on this site, and I am unlikely to reply quickly to such questions. In particular, I do NOT provide a valuation service.
If you have done this and still wish to ask for advice, feel free to mail me via my Advice page but please do not send me unsolicited scans or other binary files.
